HYBRID-VIRTUAL DESIGN

WHAT IS HYBRID-VIRTUAL DESIGN?

Virtual design and decorating services typically provide remote design help in which you never meet your designer in person. It's a fun, fast and affordable alternative to full-service design that allows you to update your home one room at a time, on your budget, and on your schedule. Unfortunately, Heather noticed a trend with many clients over the years: So many people want the convenience of the virtual design experience, but find it hard to get started. Because when you are busy, the fun projects don't reach priority status. To help get the process started, Heather created a unique Hybrid-Virtual Design service for clients in the Sacramento and Placer County area. It offers the same reduced cost and flexibility as standard Virtual Design, but with just the right doses of in-person help to ensure you don't get stuck.

An innovative process that makes virtual design easier for you

Hyrid-Virtual Design takes elements from both in-person and remote online design and combines them to bring you an easier, less confusing way to finally get the room you've been dreaming of.

HOW IT WORKS:

1

SAY HELLO

Heather treats virtual clients with the same level of care and personalization as full service clients. Introduce yourself and schedule a discovery call to describe your space and your goals in more detail. Heather will then send you a design fee proposal based on the size and complexity of your project.

2

INFO GATHERING

This is the foundation for a successful project. Heather needs to know what your space looks like now, and how you want it to look in the future. You can provide insight through Pinterest images and a client questionnaire. Heather will also visit your home in person to measure your room, take photos, and catalog any furniture and decor that you want to re-use in the new design.

3

CONCEPT DESIGN

This is when the design and furniture selections begin. Heather will draw your floor plan as well as any relevant elevations, and create a mood board showcasing furniture and decor for your new design. You and Heather will review the design together via video call to discuss what works and what you'd like to see revised.

4

REVISION TIME

Based on your comments during the presentation review, Heather will revise and update your design selections to bring your dream room to life. She will request any possible samples (sample are not always available for retail purchases) and check pricing to ensure the budget is on track. Once revisions are complete, you will have another video call to make sure everything looks good.

5

FINAL DESIGN

Heather wants you to love every detail of your new space. Once all selections have been discussed and finalized, Heather will create your final drawings, mood boards, and a detailed shopping list that allows you to easily purchase all the items for your new space. We advise clients to purchase within 2 weeks of receiving your final design, as we can't guarantee pricing and stock availability of retail vendors after a delay.

6

IMPLEMENTATION HELP

We want your project to be a success from start to finish. Every design is unique and every client is valued. Heather is available to answer questions and guide you through the installation if you get stuck along the way. Should you need in-person installation or styling help, that can be scheduled for an additional fee.

WHAT TYPE OF SPACE ARE YOU TRANSFORMING?

SMALL SPACE DESIGN

Small Space virtual design projects typically focus on small rooms, dedicated zones, and transitional spaces in your home, including entryways, mudrooms, powder rooms, office nooks, reading nooks, breakfast nooks, and laundry rooms.

FULL ROOM DESIGN

Full Room design applies to most rooms where you want a stylish, comfortable and complete look. They include bedrooms, living rooms, dining rooms, your home office or study, bathrooms, and playrooms.

OPEN-PLAN DESIGN

Open-Plan design is a bit more complex, as it incorporates two or more connected zones. It includes areas where spaces merge together without physical walls or barriers. Examples include a "great room" with a conjoined kitchen, living room, and dining area, or a "master suite" with a bedroom and lounge and/or office area. By including connected spaces in one design project you can ensure a harmonious flow from zone to zone.

All Designs Include:

  • A complete personalized design tailored to your style and budget

  • An in-home Information Gathering visit

  • Questionnaire and a dedicated Pinterest board to share your ideas and preferences

  • 2D Furniture Board of selected furnishings and decor

  • Floor Plan and any relevant elevations to show how furnishings fit in the room

  • Shopping list with links to all items in the finished design

  • Virtual meetings and messaging with Heather. Continual feedback and revisions throughout the process to ensure that you are completely happy with the completed design and that your needs and opinions are heard and understood.
